Cassper Nyovest’s dream to fill up the Dome for his solo concert is now within reach. With the even less than 16 days away, the award-winning musician announced that he only needs to sell 4,000 tickets for the gig to reach the sold-out status.
On his #FilluptheDome dream
Nyovest held a media briefing at the Dome on Tuesday to update the media about this highly anticipated event set go down in Mzansi’s music history as the biggest hip hop show staged by a single act.
At the presser Cassper was joined by Ricky Rick, Anatii and Major League, who will be supporting acts on the concert.
“Fill Up The Dome is about inspiring kids to believe in their dreams. We going to make history on the day,” said Nyovest.
Cassper also touched on his music rival, AKA, and the diss tracks they’ve released.
“The beauty about me and AKA is that we have taken South African music to the world,” he said.
Cassper said AKA is a brilliant artist “but he is number two”, adding their beef has made him rich.

“I had to respond to AKA’s Composure because it got to me. It was personal,” he said.
Ricky Rick called on musicians to emulate the direction Cassper and his team have taken, saying artists must not be enslaved to corporate or government event organisers.
“Let’s us do our own shows,” said Ricky Rick.

Fill Up The Dome will be held on October 31. The venue takes up to 20,000 people and 16,000 tickets have already been sold.
“The whole point of Fill Up The Dome is to change the way people think. I’m not making any money from this show. I just want to inspire kids,” Cassper said.
