Bikita Man Vincent Muzivozvenyu getting $10 Per Month as PENSION

A man is getting $10 a month as pension after working for 19 years as a carpenter. He contributed to the Construction Industry Pension Fund (CIPF) during his working life.

Vincent Muzivozvenyu (61) of Bikita said he spent more on transport to get the $10. Muzivozvenyu said that his payout was not commensurate with the contributions he had made. “The money is too little for my survival.

I don’t know how I can plan to withdraw the amount. From my place to Nyika Growth Point, the fare is $5 and this means the payout is eroded in transport alone,” Muzivozvenyu said. But a CIPF pension manager, Josphat Ruwo, said Muzivozvenyu’s pension was fair.

“The problem with people is that they want to reap where they did not sow. We look at what exactly he contributed to the Fund during his period of employment, irrespective of his current social or health status,” Ruwo told The Mirror.
